Trip to Meadview Az

This last weekend we adventured up to Meadview Az. That is where Adam's Dad and Mary have retired. Great Grandma Allen was down for a visit too. The kids got to feed the quail and shoot at cans with Papa's BB gun. We had a great time went out on Lake Mead and just hung out! Hope to get to stay longer next time!

I know it has been a long!!!!! time since I have posted anything! Actually it has been since February! I will give you all a quick rundown of what has been going on. Dane turned 5 in March and started Kindergarten in August! He is loving school and is excited to go everyday, not sure how long it will last but we will see! Gage turned 7 earlier this month and went into the 2nd grade! He is doing well, just a little to smart for his own good at times. Arizona turned 13 last Saturday, YES 13! She is in the 8th grade and doing very well. She is not half the handful the boys are! We had a great summer vacation to Virginia to visit Adam's sister. We took the kids to DC, they loved seeing the White House and the Lincoln Memorial. Adam and I aren't up to anything new, just work and more work! I am going to try to do better at keeping up!

So, Adam was pretty sick last week and the kids and I needed a break, and he needed some quiet time. I decided to take them hiking at the White Tanks State Park. It is about 15 min from our house. We did about a 3.5 mile loop, they all did great! Dane did end up on my back for about 1/2 mile at the end, but it was worth it! Here are a few pics from the day! Oh, my girlfriend Michelle went too.

So on Monday off to work and school we went. Pearls first day alone! It didn't go so well. She cried all day and some how managed to climb the out of the little pen we got for her. So, we made some changes and Tuesday off we went again! Well she actually managed to get out of the yard this time and went across the street of visit her brother Bear (who lives with our neighbor). So, here comes the crazy part!!!!
We adopted her sister to keep her company. Everything has gone great since! Roxy is a little more adventurous than Pearl but they love each other. Here are a few pics of the girls!!!

Pearl McQuillan joined our family Saturday the 31st of Jan. She was born on Nov 17th 2008. The kids love her!!!!!!!!!!!!! Check out how cute she is!

Hi all......its been a while and has been crazy around here. Gage finished up T-ball right before Christmas and had a blast. Adam coached his team and thought he was getting a break after the season, but then Basketball started and Adam got ropped into coaching basketball. After Basketball, it gets real crazy. Arizona starts volleyball for the school and softball for the city. Adam is coaching T-ball again......and this time will have Gage and Dane on the same time...Good times. We spent Thanksgiving at Adam's Dads and had a great time and we spent Christmas with my family up in Flagstaff in a snow covered cabin. The kids had an absolute blast. It was there first time to see snow in person. We will try not to make our posts so far in between, but with kids.....time isn't something we have a lot of. See everyone soon and love you all.

Well, Arizona finally got her birthday present. She received tickets back in Aug to the Carrie Underwood concert (dang I had to go too!) She has been patiently waiting to go since then. My girlfriend Kourtney got her daughter Kendall tickets for her birthday, too (dang she had to go with me!) The girls had a great time! We eat dinner at Margaritaville (hence the parrot masks) and then went to the concert. She is a great performer!!! Here are a few pictures

Hi! Just a few new pics from Halloween! We had Arizona the Jail Bird! (The costume fit because she was actually grounded, but I didn't have the heart to make her miss Halloween) Having a 12 year old is more work that my actual 40-50 hour a week job!!!! Gage was a clone trooper, not a storm trooper, he corrected me on that one! And then we have Dane the Blue Ninja! They got way to much candy but had tons of fun!

I took the kids to Home Depot for the kids work shop Saturday. The boys made a castle with mom and sissy's help! So of course we had to paint them for Halloween! Arizona and I finished a project we had for her room!

Arizona's softball Season

It's been awhile! We have been busy the last month trying to balance 2-3 softball games a week for Arizona. Golf lessons for Gage on Fridays and a moment for our selves in there somewhere. Poor little Dane just gets dragged around for now.

Arizona did great this year! She even pitched a no hitter! They didn't win many but she did great! Here are a few pics. I will post some of Gage when I remember to take the camera to Golf! (I think I may be loosing my memory! HAHA)

Been a while

Sorry it has been so long since we posted anything. Arizona has softball like 19 days a week, Gage has golf every Friday and I've been working 14 hour days so we dont have a lot of time. Everything is going good, kids are doing good in school and sports. The temperature is finally trying to stay in the double digits instead of 1xx that we have been having every single day. Just staying busy and trying to survive. I'll try to keep up on the site, I think things are starting to slow down at work so I should have some more free time in the evenings. Love everyone, check back.

We had a special dinner with his favorite corn on the cob. He got to open is present, NEW GOLF CLUBS!

He is so excited! He starts his golf classes at the end of this month. Hopefully this is a good retirement plan for us!(HAHA)

Her is my sister and her family....although the elusive Tawny only appears in one of the pictures, I finally have some. The kids are growing up soooo fast I hardly recognize them. Kristi, the kids and I are planning a trip to Virginia next year to see them because we haven't seen them in about 5 years or so. Those kids look so much like Tawny it is frightning. Sis, when you read this, tell my little Bro Trev......homey needs a haircut! Here is a picture of my mom's side of the family on their Hawaii trip. That is pretty much all of them.... there are a couple missing including myself and my wife and kids, but we will be in one of those, trust me.

Just in case you didn't know..........We have been in a custody battle for the past 4years with Arizona's Biological mother. Arizona was removed from her home in December of 2004 because of Domestic Violence issues and was placed with Arizona's Step Dads grandparents (figure that one out), after fighting the courts in Florida, she was placed here with us in June of 2005 and we have been fighting to keep her hear ever since. Well, as of June 25th 2008......it is over. After going to court we were ordered Full Custody of Arizona and she will be living with us from here on out. We almost lost her a couple of times back to Florida, but someone with more than two braincells figured out she belonged here. Since being here, she is straight A's and the occasional B, she is playing numerous sports, plays in the band and was inducted into The National Junior Honors Society.....a pretty big deal from what and where she came from. It is finally over and me and momma can sleep in piece knowing she won't be going back to Florida except to visit. See Ya.

P.S. After about 20 years of smoking........I have been cigarette free for just over 5 months. Wish me luck. Also, I have to give Props to my Brother and Sister-in-Law Sam and Emily. If they wouldnt have sent us a link to their site, I never would have made this one. I got some stuff from their site, then added some other stuff and here we are. Thank you Aunt Emily......You ROCK!!!

Boys first Circus

We took the boys to their first circus. The Ringling Brothers Barnum & Bailey Circus. They had a blast and cost me and momma a fortune......what a ripoff those things are. There are no pictures of Dane with circus people because Dane would not leave his seat. All the circus clowns scared him. This is the last Slide Show for a while.....trust me!

Golf Trip

Gages Tee Ball

Here is Gages last Tee Ball season. He was playing for the Floriday Gators....eck, but he got to play his last game at the Surprise Stadium. This is where the Texas Rangers and the K.C. Royals play their Spring Training Ball. All the kids loved it.

We just picked the boys up from Nanas this weekend. Me and mamma had 1 1/2 glorious kid free weeks. The boys were with Nana Jo and Papa Phil because they wanted to attend the Curtis family reunion in Texas and who are we to say no. Mamma and I golfed like 3 times a week and just enjoyed the kid free life for a while. Sissy (Arizona) is in Florida until the 1st of August and then its back to full bore in the McQuillan house. We just started this blog so it might be rough for a while, but its a nice way to let everyone know how were are doing without having to shoot out 900 emails. Check back often
